The most cost-effective way of providing accessibility in a public building is a straight stairlift. The Savaria K2 model has been a reliable and trusted elevating device for us, and we will continue to install them in places of worship, legions, businesses, and medical centres looking to improve accessibility. Here are videos of 3 projects we completed over the past few months. Quick manufacturing lead time, one day installations, and the ability to fast-track a T.S.S.A. (Technical Standards and Safety Authority) inspection can have your commercial building accessible in approximately two weeks. Send us pictures of your staircase and we can provide a proposal almost instantly. See how easy it can be to work with us and make your building enjoyable to those with mobility needs.

Our Material Conveyor is a safe way to transport heavy and large items up and down stairs. Easily controlled by remotes allows you to move the platform from top to bottom or bottom to top, even when in the folded position. An excellent solution for moving products to different levels. Decrease employee accidents on the stairs by using a Material Conveyor rather than carrying heavy or large items. This is a creative solution for a safer workplace. More pictures and a video can be viewed here as well as our Instagram page.

When it comes to Residential Elevators, we install commercial grade products with full sliding doors only. Changes in the industry, with both safety and cost, allow us to eliminate swing doors and the previously standard accordion gate or bi-fold door. This provides a truly luxurious home elevator at a cost appealing to a client building an affordable custom home. This elevator North of Toronto has stainless steel entrances from the garage as well as the basement and upper floor. We use our knowledge of commercial elevators and transfer that into your home elevator choice, making for a product that provides convenience as well as the ability to stay in your home well into your later years. An in-depth video can be seen on our actively updated Instagram page as well as on our pictures page of the finished results. This is what our idea of home elevator perfection looks like.

With students returning to school across Ontario this month, we’ve been installing accessibility devices to help them reach all areas of their learning facilities. This Garaventa Xpress II Inclined Platform Lift was successfully installed in a high school in Hamilton and will provide upper-level access to anyone in a wheelchair. Multiple schools have taken our recommendation on this product for commercial accessibility and trust in our specialized and licensed team to provide a turn-key solution. We were called in to complete this Stannah 260 commercial curved stairlift. Some fine tuning had us ready for a TSSA inspection allowing for public use. The inspection includes a weight capacity test as well as ensuring safety features function properly. Custom rail bends makes this accessibility device blend seamlessly with the staircase. More pictures of the project can be found here. A video of the features can be found on our Instagram. It feels good to help make businesses more accessible.

An older building with a tight staircase can still be accessible. The Stannah 260 Commercial Curved Stairlift is a great option as it requires minimal contracting work and does not block the stairwell. We consider ourselves experts with this accessibility product from staircase measuring, to product installation, to final inspection with T.S.S.A, and continued maintenance and service. We’ve had a lot of fun showcasing our favourite installations of the month and encourage you to check out our videos on Instagram. More pictures of this project can be found here.

This commercial vertical platform lift provides reliable access for the public to the front entrance of this building. This Savaria V1504 elevating device has an automatic opening lower door and a manual full height upper door which keeps the lift fully enclosed. Ideal for exterior applications.

This Stannah 260 Commercial Stairlift turned out spectacular with the black rail option and blue vinyl upholstery. The colour combination looks so nice in this stairwell. It is an ideal stairlift set-up with a 180º bottom park position and a 90º top park position. This allows the stairlift to be parked away from the stairwell when not in use as well as the safest option for users getting on and off the stairlift. Stannah has been manufacturing stairlifts for over 150 years, so we have the upmost confidence in this product. As with all commercial stairlifts in Ontario, it was passed by the Technical Standard and Safety Authority for public use. More pictures of the installation can be found here, and we’ve also created a video which you can see on our Instagram page or by hitting this link. If you need accessibility solutions for a commercial building in Ontario, we are the experts, and love helping.

Our recent residential elevator installation is the perfect accent to this modern home. The interior decor is carried into the elevator with matching floors on the main level and a similar elevator interior as the rest of the home. The automatic stainless steel sliding elevator doors allow for easy entry and exit as well as the adjacent placement adds to the to versatility of the design. Check out some more pictures here. We are noticing a trend for fully automatic elevators being designed into luxury homes. We can help.

Our Material Conveyor is helping a company in Toronto get heavy deliveries to the lower level where they are used. Loading and unloading heights can be chosen to further ease the movement of packages. It easily folds up so the stairwell can be used when not in use. Save your back and avoid slip & falls with a Package Lift. It is similar to what we did at the Vet Clinic in October. More pictures of this installation here. We had a great time installing this one.

Removing this Cheney Co. stairlift and replacing it with a Savaria K2 Plus was a history lesson for us. Cheney Co. from New Berlin, Wisconsin began serving the people’s need to “get upstairs” in the 1930’s-1940’s with the Wecolator Stairway Elevator. It serviced this straight staircase at a Lodge in Simcoe for decades. Stairlifts may have changed over the years, but the main desire is to still have a long lasting, reliable accessibility device that gets you up and down the stairs safely. More pictures of this fun project here.

This grocery store in Toronto has a below grade entrance where a commercial vertical platform lift was needed to provide access for consumers. This Savaria V1504 is one of the most common lifts you’ll see in a commercial setting in Ontario. This lift is equipped with a full height bottom door and a top landing gate for safe entry and exit onto the lift. Take look at other photos of this installation here.
We were involved from the construction stage which makes a seamless integration of the lift easier than retrofitting it into an existing grocery store. It looks great paired with the stairs and will reliably provide access to those in need.
All commercial lifts in Ontario are inspected by T.S.S.A. to ensure safety and compliance. We are a licensed T.S.S.A. contractor and all of our mechanics hold elevator licenses. We specialize in commercial accessibility and take pride in being a knowledge leader in the light commercial sector of the accessibility industry.
